This March, Harry Styles broke his four year silence in the music industry and released a new album titled “Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally”. This album featured the leading singles “Aperture” and “American Girls”. Both songs were upbeat and catchy while also having unique individuality.
Overall, the album had a relaxed and dreamy vibe. I personally really enjoyed this album. The chords sent me into a chance while listening to the music, allowing me to relax and enjoy the vibes while still having enough energy to keep me intrigued. Another thing I loved was the natural tone the album had. The album made every phrase seem effortlessly enchanting. I thought this was very fitting for Harry Styles, because he never really forces an image or style–his music is true to him.
The music was enjoyable, however I struggled with the fact that some of the songs blended together. Since all the music had a dreamy vibe, it made some songs blend in with the rest. I understand that Styles wanted a certain vibe with this album, but I wish there was some more depth in stylizing the songs.
Even so, I think the album was a perfect way to come back into the music industry. His songs were loved by many fans and have already reached top charts. The album debuted at no. 1, making it his fourth no. 1 album, and many other individual songs have reached charts as well. This new album is strong and has allowed Styles to connect with listeners in a creative way.
