As the soccer season is just starting, the girls soccer team is already working hard and showing improvement. “The season is going good, we are starting to connect more as a team and gain chemistry,” Silivis Barahona said. However, there are still things they need to work on.
“I think we can improve our communication on the field and switch sides,” Barahona said, “Communication is important in soccer because it helps players know where to pass, when to move, and how to support each other. Improving this skill will make the team even stronger” Barahona said “to win WAC and to make it past regionals this year.”
“We started off slow, but the team picked up the pace as the game went on,” Jasleen Ortega said . The team does not give up and continues to work harder throughout the game.
“I can improve on releasing the ball quicker, making faster decisions, and getting my shot off sooner.” Ortega said. They are important skills that can help her and the team play faster and create more scoring chances. Jasleen’s main goal this season is “to win regionals.”
“Our season so far has been going pretty good. We started off good at our Goddard tournament, and we’re still growing as a team and learning how to play with each other in our new formation.” Trinicia Garcia said.
The team is still adjusting but continuing to improve each game. “work more with my players and help each other become confident.” Garcia said. believes the team can improve their teamwork and chemistry both on and off the field. One of her personal goals is to uplift her teammates “encouraging others to keep up the hard work during and after games.”
