The softball team has been getting a lot of attention this season, and it’s not hard to see why. As the players have spent more time practicing and playing together, their teamwork has clearly improved.

“I think our team has gotten a lot better because we trust each other more,” Samantha Wilder (Public Health sophomore) said. “At the beginning of the season, we were still learning how to play together, but now we really understand each other and work as a team.”

That growing trust has shown up during games, especially in close moments where communication and support matter most.

Along with teamwork, practice has played a big role in the team’s success. Players have been putting in consistent effort after school, working on skills and pushing through challenges.

“We practice a lot, and sometimes it’s really hard, but it pays off during games,” Marisol Angeles  (Health sophomore) said.

This hard work has not gone unnoticed, even from the coaching side. The improvement has been clear across the team.

“They’ve all improved, even me as a coach. It feels good to see that happen,” JV softball coach Kylee Hipp said.

With strong effort in practice and better teamwork during games, the team has created exciting moments for fans. Close scores, big hits, and strong defensive plays have brought more students and families out to support.

As the season continues, the team is focused on keeping that progress going. With their current momentum, they are hoping to finish strong and keep building on what they’ve already accomplished.
