“Their clothes are good quality but it’s really expensive for what it is,” Jencie Stocking, ,said.

“Some of my favorite items from them have to be their sweat sets,” Kynslee Rogers,,said.

“Their entire brand of clothing is very baggy and oversized clothing that only a certain type of people want to wear, that doesn’t give a big variety for other people,” Paige Reich, Trade and Health English Teacher, said.
Most people believe that the brand’s biggest success has to come from the items that are most popular on social media, which is how they claim to be introduced into the brand and the items that they purchased. Around the school and city, Free Peoples athletic line is a must-have for anyone following current fashion trends. The popularity of the brand is increasing the demands for more affordable alternatives to the name brand.
“It’s overpriced, and there’s so many dupes that are out there like on Amazon that are way cheaper and affordable for everyone including myself,” Reich said.
These look-alikes often mimic the same soft fabrics and relaxed styles at a fraction of the price. Because of this, many shoppers are choosing to buy the counterfeits instead of purchasing directly from Free People. For students and younger customers, the appeal lies in getting the same trendy aesthetic without paying extreme prices.
